The Directorate-General Justice and Consumers of the European Commission has published its annual Report on European judicial Training of judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries, and judicial officers.

The annual Report monitors the quantitative and qualitative objectives set by the European judicial training strategy for 2021-2024 (Communication ‘Ensuring justice in the EU — a European judicial training strategy for 2021-2024’ (COM(2020) 713 final)).

The information in this report concerning the profession of judicial officer was collected from its member countries by the European Union of Judicial Officers, which would like to thank them for their participation in this exercise.

The UEHJ indeed considers that the permanent training of judicial officers and their staff is essential to exercise their profession, and that this permanent training must include European law.

The European Training Platform comprises many new training materials and e-learning resources and has a new feature where one can register and be notified when new courses and training materials are uploaded.
